Area Information
Oia(ia) santorini island. Althought a tourist spot, oia remains an exceptionally artistic,hardly touched site,it is the part of the island least affected by tourism. the location of house in the central part of village,it is very very peacefull and quite,as it looks direcly to the breakhtaking blue color of the aegean sea and the amazing and world famous caldera and sunset view. The house are located in the castlle of oia,the neighborhood is called fanari while the houses are right next to "summer lovers" gallery, very close to the house you will find the "fanari" and "kastro" restaurants.

GETTING THERE
1.with taxi :tell to the driver to oia -to kyklos square location(all drivers know the location)and lioyerma pool bar,the taxi stop about 100metre from houses/villa, you take the path to fanari restaurant, on pathway you will meet anemos gallery and one mini market ,on mini market turn right and then take road left of fanari hotel, in 10meters you see the houses. closed to the house is ''agia paraskeyi church”, “agia triada church” ,''summer lovers ” , ''cafe restaurant Kastro”.
2.with bus: from bus station terminal in oia take the pathway to the castle ,exacly right to the castle is kastro cafe ,take the path from Kastro cafe after 20meters is the end of path and the terrace of honeymoon house. The house is exacly right of the castle in the midle of the caldera.
3.Call us if you want anytime to book for you cab to wait you at port or airport, the cost for the transfer is totally 30euros(2-4pers). Is better to call us if you take and taxi for to wait you at ''liogerma pool'' and for luggage pick-up(no extra cost).

 | CinziaMon 03 Aug, 2015 | A very special piaceAbbiamo trascorso tre notti nella cave house ed ?' stata un'esperienza indimenticabile affacciarsi al mattino sulla caldera , vedere come i colori cambiavano durante il giorno diventando rossi e dorati al tramonto .Ogni giorno al tramonto un sacco di persone venivano proprio nei pressi della nostra casa , che ?' vicina al castello, a vedere il famoso tramonto. Il saliscendi di scalette e vicoli che portavano alla casa ?' molto pittoresco anche se impegnativo . Il signor Fotino per? ci ha molto gentilmente aiutato con i bagagli ed offerto consigli ed assistenza, assieme alla moglie Joanna, una signora molto cortese ed accogliente . La casa ?' un posto speciale ,un'abitazione tradizionale, scavata nella roccia ,protetta dallo stato per la sua importanza storica e paesaggistica.. Oia ?' il posto dove soggiornare a Santorini , elegante , tranquilla , con ottimi locali dove trascorrere la serata e bei negozi per curiosare un po' . | 5 |

I was travelling with a friend and needed 2 beds but the owners provided a camp bed which meant we were able to book. It was also great to see the house feature in so many of the postcards and posters of Oia. It was reasonably priced especially when compared with other cave houses in Oia. We were perfectly located in the east of oia with the best view of the sunset over the caldera from the roof terrace. Every window showed a different view. There was also the added benefit of the public pool which was like a very good hotel pool and beautifully maintained. It was free to use if you bought a drink. | GraceMon 25 Jun, 2012 | The Honeymoon House on Cliff in Oia, SantoriniMy husband and I are from the U.S. and in our early 40s. This was our first visit to Oia, Santorini, Greece. Our accommodations in the 1-room traditional (no frills) cave-style "Honeymoon House" fit our needs perfectly for a 3-day stay. We were only in our house to rest and relax. We had one of the best locations and views overlooking the caldera on the island. It is close to all of the village shops, restaurants, bus station/ATMs, grocery store and pharmacy. It is only a 15-20-minute bus ride to Fira (the capital)and a 40-45 min. bus ride to Perissa Beach (one of the black sand beaches). If you plan to do any cooking during your stay, you will feel very, very limited unless you are used camping and cooking on a hot plate (no stove/oven/microwave, just hot plate). I do not recall seeing a can or bottle opener. But there is a coffee maker, ground coffee, sugar, 2 mugs, utensils, plates, and a pot. You can see the famous sunset OK on the rooftop/terrace if you are standing to the left-most part of the roof when facing west. If you are afraid of heights, be warned, as there is no "guard rail" on the rooftop to keep you from falling. I suggest looking for a more unobstructed view prior to the sunset. The only thing I did not like about the "Honeymoon House" is that the showerhead is NOT mounted on the wall. It is hand-held. There is no bathtub, but that didn't bother us, as we both prefer showers. I would highly recommend renting Fotino's "Honeymoon House" to couples "young" or "old" (it's all relative) and solo travelers. Enjoy! | 5 |

My only problem had to do with smacking my head on a low door lintel, but if you want the cave house experience, that comes with the territory! Fotinos and Ioanna are very helpful. The location is great - a short distance from the concentration of tourist activity, but far enough away to be very quiet. And not too far from a car park, if you want to rent a car, which I recommend. (Our transaction with Vazeos was seamless.) | 5 |
